The coronavirus pandemic has presented many challenges over the past two years, including the impact it has had on the education of our children. School divisions throughout the world are working to address learning loss so we think it is important for you to get a deeper look into how Lynchburg City Schools is getting our students back on track. This year’s program will focus on three of the ways our school division is addressing the academic recovery of our elementary students. Following opening remarks by Dr. Edwards, the LCS Elementary Literacy Specialist will showcase the early success of the reading recovery program being implemented in our elementary schools; then two LCS principals will present the parental engagement program and the embedded academic intervention system designed to ensure greater success for all students. We hope you will join us.
